Spring brings warm days and cool nights.

The summers are not so long, but are exceptionally pleasant. The average relative humidity is only 78% and the temperatures range between 75 - 85 degrees.

Autumn is spectacular with peak foliage colors beginning in September and October throughout the state.

By the end of November the first winter snow falls and melts around mid-April. The average snowfall is 92.1 inches and the average precipitation is 35.7 inches over a 10 year period.

Extended periods of unusual high or low temperatures are uncommon. Lake Champlain, the western boundary of Vermont, tends to moderate temperatures during warmer months. Average dates for beginning and ending frost are October 3 and May 10. Growing season is 145 days.
